Things got ugly when Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor went back and forth with each other
UFC welterweight fighter Jorge Masvidal has been on a downhill path ever since he had that brilliant run years back, which ended with his victory against Nate Diaz at UFC 244. Since then, he has lost to the champion Kamaru Usman twice, lost to bitter rival Colby Covington in a lopsided contest, and involved in legal trouble over a public assault with the ‘Chaos’.
Although Masvidal affirms that becoming the champion is still his number one priority, ‘Gamebred’ realizes that big money fights make sense for him at this stage of his career. Little wonder that he has been chasing the Conor Mcgregor fight since for a big payday.
Masvidal has resorted to insults, scornful and denigrating comments to get McGregor to fight him. He even said that the Irish Man is afraid to fight him, and he has what it takes to push Conor into retirement.
He recently sat down with MMA Fighting, and launched a fresh attack on the ‘Notorious’.
“No, Conor doesn’t want the fight,” Masvidal told MMA Fighting about McGregor. “If he did he’d post something, he’d say something. He’d probably just insult my mom or some relative of mine or my nation where I come from. He’ll say something like that but he won’t say anything about a fight or a fight date. So the Conor thing, he just wants it ‘I hope it goes away’ because he really doesn’t want to fight. He doesn’t mention [me] or say anything.
“Money doesn’t entertain him no more, make him want to get out of his bed. I think the only thing that makes him want to get out of bed is cocaine. That’s OK, every man has a free will. You do whatever you want,” Masvidal continued about McGregor. “But don’t say you’re a fighter and don’t take cheap shots at me, especially the things that he’s been saying, talking about my legal problems and this and that. You’re a fcking pssy. We could do it man to man in the cage and just once and for all and get paid a handsome reward while doing it.”
Mcgregor claps back at Jorge Masvidal
Conor McGregor does not hold back in retaliating when an insult is hurled at him. And he retaliated in typical Mcgregor style. Mcgregor reacted to the video by saying, ‘INSULT YOUR MOM? WHAT A LOSER YOU ARE MATE. ME AND YOUR MOM GET ALONG.’

The tweet has however been deleted since then.
Masvidal replied to that by saying, ‘Yeah my mom loves you man. She knows you are about to be the biggest paycheck for me and a relatively easy fight’
