Jon Jones spent a whole year (2021) without a fight for the first time since he made his debut

It is going to be two years since Jon Jones stepped inside the Octagon. The light-heavyweight GOAT hasn’t fought since his title defense against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247.

A couple of months after that he announced that he was relinquishing his LHW title in a bid to move to the heavyweight division.

He did as he said, and began packing muscle and weight to get ready for the toughest division. A payment dispute with UFC President Dana White saw him not compete in 2021 – his first year without a fight.
