“I wanna be 4C” – Henry Cejudo says he is rejuvenated and wants to get back

Henry Cejudo is on a mission to convince UFC President Dana White and get back amongst the cream of the crop in the UFC

It looks like Henry Cejudo will not stop until UFC President Dana White gets him back into the UFC. The former two-division champion announced his retirement after beating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 back in May 2020.

Being at the peak of his career, Cejudo’s retirement announcement came as a shock. Cejudo also got his name removed from the USADA testing pool. Although he did tease a return multiple times after that, none of them had serious motives.

However, this time, it looks like Cejudo is a bit focused. Following Max Holloway’s withdrawal from the trilogy fight against Alexander Volkanovski (for the featherweight title), Cejudo requested White to put him in place of ‘Blessed.’

White recently stated that the promotion wouldn’t work that way, much to Cejudo’s annoyance. Since then, ‘Triple C’ has been hitting out at the UFC head honcho.

More recently, following the conclusion of UFC Vegas 46, White was asked about the same. This time, the bossman seemed a bit annoyed and claimed that he wasn’t interested in having such a ‘silly conversation.’

Quote tweeting MMA Junkie’s clip of the same, Cejudo clarified, whilst also expressing his desire to become a quadruple champ:

“Dana, I needed a break. Honestly, it was getting boring beating up TJ Pillashaw in under a minute and Dominick Snooze in 2. I got married, had a kid and am now rejuvenated. I wanna be 4C. If I beat up an old guy at a bar and learn how to Riverdance will you give me a shot?”

Henry Cejudo is the former flyweight and bantamweight champion

Henry Cejudo is one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time. After having won the gold medal in wrestling at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, he carved out a brilliant mixed martial arts career.

He joined the UFC in December 2014, and in 2018 at UFC 227, he became the flyweight champion by beating the legendary Demetrious Johnson.
