Gregory Rodrigues recently shared a beautiful image with wife following a nasty cut that he sustained in his fight at UFC Vegas 60

The co-main event at UFC Vegas 60 was a firework affair as Chidi Njokuani and Gregory Rodrigues engaged in a bloody duel. Njokuani opened a nasty cut on Gregory Rodrigues in the opening sequence of the first round. It was one of the nastiest cuts in the history of the sport. UFC President Dana White shared a before-after image that terrified fans.

Both fighters engaged in a slugfest from the get-go. While it looked like fans would not witness a second round, Rodrigues rallied and took control of the fight. He took the fight to the mats and worked towards a finish. The referee stepped in, he had seen enough of the brutal ground and pound.

Rodrigues had to go through an hour of stitching before he spoke to the media after the fight. He claimed during the post-fight press conference that his wife is probably mad at him.

“I have three eyebrows,” Rodrigues said at his post-fight press conference.

“The cut was bad, but the win came and that’s worth it. I’m so happy. I expected a fight like that. We are inside the UFC. That’s the World Cup. The best fighters are here, and I’m one of them. So I’m just happy and grateful for everything that’s happened now in my life. My wife is just a little mad, ‘Tell the doctor to do a great job. I will come back there. But he did a great job, man, so I will look OK.”

Rodrigues has now shared an image with his wife a day after the fight, and the cut looks much better and partly healed.
