Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley will be squaring off inside the boxing ring in a couple of months
With Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather already a part of YouTube-boxing history, the attention has now shifted towards Logan Paul’s brother Jake Paul.
‘The Problem Child’ will be taking on newly-released UFC welterweight Tyron Woodley in a professional boxing bout on the 28th of August, this year.
The fight marks the boxing debut of former welterweight champ Woodley who is known for his vicious striking abilities.
Paul, on the other hand, will be going into his fourth professional boxing bout, after having beaten YouTuber AnesonGib, Basketballer Nate Robinson and former UFC fighter Ben Askren.
Former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo gave his opinion on Paul vs Woodley. He claimed that Paul would beat Woodley because of two reasons. The first being the size of the gloves and the second one, Woodley’s inability to throw combinations.
Cejudo addressed this in a recent interview with Helen Yee:
“Jake Paul is going to beat Tyron Woodley. This is the reason why- One is the gloves. The gloves are different. The gloves in MMA are 4oz gloves, I would give it to Woodley because he does have that right hand. And that’s the problem, he only has that one right hand. You’re gonna need combinations…I don’t know what size gloves, if they use 8-10oz gloves he’s in trouble, because Jake Paul is trained and he is around world-class boxers…That’s gonna be the difference in that fight- the size of the glove and the fact that Tyron Woodley doesn’t throw combinations.”
Henry Cejudo calls out Alexander Volkanovski, Floyd Mayweather and Ryan Garcia
Cejudo might have retired, but his ‘callout-game’ never stops. Periodically, like the Comet Halley, ‘Triple C’ calls out fighters out of the blue.
His latest call-out victims were, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, Floyd Mayweather and lightweight boxer Ryan Garcia.
“I still want Alexander ‘the average’…I would love to fight Floyd ‘wasted Money’ Mayweather with his pillow hands, over there hugging on Logan Paul for about eight rounds…I got CTE from watching that fight. And, last but not least, I would love to fight the ‘Princess King Ryan Garcia’, you know why? I’m not sure if he can last even two rounds with King Triple C.”
Cejudo announced his retirement from MMA after beating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. Despite flirting with the possibility of a comeback, he got his name removed from the USADA testing pool recently.
