Chael Sonnen and Jon Jones once had a heated rivalry in the UFC
With Jones‘ heavyweight future in tatters, a lot of rumours have been doing the rounds about his next fight.
The light-heavyweight GOAT hasn’t fought since moving to the heavyweight division in August, last year.
Jones, who is quite active on Twitter, recently posted a Tweet, which got lost in translation. His tweet read, “I’m about to give birth to something big, something out of the ordinary.”
A legion of fans trolled ‘Bones’ for claiming that he was “about to give birth”. But little did they expect former rival Chael Sonnen to join the party.
Sonnen who has retired from MMA, is a full-time analyst and runs his own YouTube channel, where he regularly posts MMA updates and stories.
His video thumbnails have always been himself seated in his room, while addressing a particular story. This time, Sonnen stepped his YouTube game up, as he posted a thumbnail showing Jones giving birth in a labour room.
Uncle Chael’s thumbnail game was praised by a truckload of fans in the comments section.
Jon Jones’ future in the heavyweight division is still uncertain
Jones was recently set to face newly-crowned heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. But a payment war with UFC President Dana White, saw the chance falling to Derrick Lewis.
Jones was then offered a fight against Stipe Miocic. But Jones refused, stating that his heavyweight debut had to be massive, and not against someone like Miocic, who is coming off a disappointing loss.
Hence, White claimed that he was helpless, and that the heavyweight division would be moving forward without Jones.
And now, it is up to Jones to decide on his heavyweight future.
