Former stuntman-turned-director hails Conor McGregor as a “mountain of inspiration”

Conor McGregor has stated that the UFC has once again extended an offer to return to The Ultimate Fighter as a coach, suggesting he may be returning to the show.  In 2015, The Notorious appeared on the show and coached his team to victory over rival fighter Urijah Faber. Now, McGregor has hinted at a strong return to the screen both in and out of the octagon by posting a photo on Instagram in which he says he is open to the idea while also reflecting on his accomplishments in the ring.

McGregor took to Instagram to share the latest update and wrote:

“This is a snap from the original ultimate fighter house. Where I coached vs urijah faber. This photo was just before the show tho. It was right before I won my first world title beating urijah team mate chad mendes around. I then went on to coach the famous fight show straight after the fight. With a big black eye and a gash, my tricolor, and my new and first ever ufc gold belt, I waltzed into the notorious fight gym in Las Vegas. The slickest suits and shouts the show had ever seen before. On top of the silverware. And I coached my team to victory. Crazy. Some journey. I have just been offered to coach this role again. I like it. It is full immersion which is needed.
I see fighters lining up.
I know whats ahead I been ready motherf**kers. #StayReady”

Former stuntman-turned-writer-director Garrett Warren, whose work can be seen in films like Avatar, Logan, Alice in Wonderland, Divergent, Real Steel, Alita: Battle Angel, and the Avatar sequels, gushed over McGregor, calling the Irishman an inspiration.

Under the comments section of the post, he wrote:

“After having gotten the chance to work alongside with you I truly think you are a mountain of inspiration and one of the nicest people I’ve met. Loyal, honorable and filled with HOPE! The world is a richer place with you in it. Go get em.”

Michael Chandler responds to Conor McGregor announcing that he has been offered a coaching role in TUF

There is a good chance that Conor McGregor will return to the octagon in 2023. Since breaking his leg in the third and final bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, the sport’s biggest superstar has been sidelined.

He is now fully recovered and back in training, so all eyes are on his next outing in the UFC cage. And he says that could happen after he makes another reality show appearance for the promotion.

This past Wednesday, the Irishman posted a photo from his previous time as a TUF coach, when he faced off against Urijah Faber in 2015. McGregor wrote that he was “just offered to coach this role again” and that he was excited about the prospect because it would provide him with the “full immersion” he was seeking in the caption.

Michael Chandler wasted no time in staking his claim for a future showdown with the former champ-champ after the Irishman was sidelined through injury, saying that a fight between the two would be spellbinding.

He reacted to McGregor’s announcement on Twitter by simply writing:

““Conor coaching TUF?”
