Dominick Reyes suffered a massive KO loss at the hands of the rising Jiri Prochazka

Prochazka executed a stunning spinning elbow KO in only the second round as he ‘devastated’ Reyes in the main event of UFC Vegas 25. The UFC newcomer surely means business.

With that win, his win streak extended to a staggering 12, and the Czech hasn’t lost since 2015. And, he is currently 2-0 up in the UFC.

His spinning elbow KO is only the third in the history of the UFC. Hardly a year at the promotion, Prochazka is already close to getting a title shot.

His wild KO triggered a plethora of reactions from fans and fighters, and number one ranked lightweight contender Dustin Poirier made his verdict known. ‘The Diamond’ expressed his concern for Reyes.

He went on to acknowledge the dangers of the sport before expressing his love for it.

Poirier wrote:

“Hopefully Reyes is ok. That was brutal. It’s a tough dangerous sport but damn I love it.”

Reyes was coming off another devastating KO loss against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 253. He recently stated in an interview that he had learnt a lot from that KO loss against Blachowicz who went on to become the light-heavyweight champion.

But unfortunately Reyes’ couldn’t put his learnings to effect, as he is currently stuck in a three-fight skid.

Cub Swanson believes Dustin Poirier will beat Conor McGregor in the trilogy bout

37-year old veteran featherweight Cub Swanson believes Conor McGregor will come out more dangerous than last time into the trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier. However, he still seemed to back Poirier for whom he had a lot of respect.

Speaking to Helen Yee in an interview, Swanson said he would like to see ‘The Diamond’ emerge victorious while expressing the love he had for Poirier, because of all the things he’s done – right from his charity to the human being he is.

Poirier and McGregor are set to faceoff on the 10th of July at UFC 264 in front of a full house in Vegas.

A lot will be at stake since the winner would go on to face the winner of the upcoming title bout between Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler at UFC 262.
