Dustin Poirier took a sly dig at his rivals – Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor and Colby Covington

The UFC is just a week into its hiatus. However, the online trash-talk and callouts haven’t died down one bit.

Wishing a Merry Christmas to everyone, top-ranked UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier fired shots at his rivals Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor and Colby Covington.

‘The Diamond’ tweeted:

“Merry Christmas to everyone!!… except Nathaniel, Conor and Colby but everyone else hope you have a great day!!

Poirier has been going back and forth with Nate Diaz of late. A welterweight contest between the two looms large.

As for McGregor, the Irishman was his most recent rival. Poirier won the trilogy fight at UFC 264 amidst some serious bad blood that went too far.

Covington was Poirier’s former teammate. ‘Chaos’ has been quite critical of all his former American Top Team members, and Poirier and Jorge Masvidal have been the pick of the lot.

Dustin Poirier says Nate Diaz is not ready to fight him

Replying to a fan on Twitter, Dustin Poirier claimed that Nate Diaz ‘is not ready to fight him.’ When asked about what really was going on with Diaz-Poirier, ‘The Diamond’ replied.

“I’m down, he’s not.”

With the UFC recently extending Diaz’s contract, talks of a fight against familiar foes like Poirier and McGregor have been rife.

It is worth noting that Poirier and Diaz were set to fight in November 2018 at UFC 230. The fight had to be cancelled after Poirier went down with an injury, a couple of weeks before the fight.
