Two time opponents Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo went at it for the third time as they squared off at UFC 270. The first fight ended in a draw and Moreno managed to walk away with a win in the second fight.
The third fight looked much closer than the first two as the two went toe to toe for 25 minutes. The Brazilian dropped Moreno in the third round of the fight which looked to be the deciding factor in the outcome of the fight. Figueiredo walked away as the winner via unanimous decision.
All three judges scored in favour of the Brazilian 48-47. The series is now tied at 1-1 for both fighters and a fourth fight looks certain between the two. It will be interesting to see if a fourth fight between the two comes to fruition or not. For now, Figueiredo can enjoy his second reign as the UFC flyweight champion.

Deiveson Figueiredo had a tough task beating Brandon Moreno in their trilogy bout. However, it was a fight that could’ve gone either way. Many thought that Moreno should’ve retained the title and expressed their disbelief over Twitter along with those who rooted for the Brazilian to win.
