Dan Hooker will be moving down a division to fight at Featherweight on March 19

UFC Fight Night 204 has a big fight for Dan Hooker and the Kiwi seems to be revelling in the attention of the clash.

The Hangman will be returning to Featherweight after a few years. Hooker was fighting in the Lightweight division in the UFC, however, things did not go well for him.

He had lost two big fights before winning against Nasrat Haqparast. The Kiwi then was defeated easily by Islam Makhachev, and now will fight in a division lower.

Hooker has been sharing updates of his weight cuts and recently shared a picture of how he looked ahead of the event.

The internet is filled with trolls and several took shots at Hooker for looking a little worse for wear.

One of the accounts claimed that Hooker resembled a skeleton, but the Kiwi found this take hilarious and posted his own thoughts.

Can Dan Hooker change things in the Featherweight division?

Hooker, at one time, was in the conversation to be a contender for the Lightweight title. However, losses to Makhachev, Michael Chandler and Dustin Poirier put a rest to that talk.

This isn’t the first time Hooker will be going down a division, and it will be interesting to see how he does.

The Kiwi has won fights in this division, and a good performance can again bring up talk of a title fight.

Alexander Volkanovski is the current Featherweight champion, and he could use some fresh rivals in the division.

Volkanovski has already defeated Max Holloway and Brian Ortega, two of the best in the division. Hooker could be a real threat for the champion. However, Volkanovski has to beat Chan Sung Jung first at UFC 273 before thinking of other fights.
