Dan Hooker took a sly dig at UFC heavyweight Jon Jones in the midst of former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen’s arrest
Former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen was arrested for battery following a brawl at the Four Seasons hotel in Las Vegas. Initial reports of Sonnen’s reports claimed to have also involved a woman and hence, UFC heavyweight Jon Jones fired shots at Sonnen, albeit in a different way.
Jones tweeted:
“Chael Sonnen, I’m not gonna sit here and celebrate you getting battery charges against a female last night. That would make me like you, and I’m nothing like you. Instead I will wish your family well, I wish the victims family well.”
He followed it up with another Tweet:
“It’s funny how the people who criticize and judge you the most have some of the nastiest things in their closet. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. You’ll get no stones from me. Good luck.
However, it later came to light through former heavyweight Brendan Schaub that Sonnen had manhandled five men on his own, and also that it didn’t involve any woman.
Schaub also stated that Sonnen had gotten into an altercation after lewd remarks were directed at his wife.
UFC featherweight Dan Hooker mocks Jon Jones
Not too long ago, Jon Jones was arrestedc by the Las Vegas Police Department in terms of domestic violence. He was accused of physically assaulting his partner Jessie Moses.
A number of MMA stars and experts were quite critical of Jones’ act; Chael Sonnen was one of them.
Latest to join the party was UFC featherweight Dan Hooker who took a sly dig at Jones.
Hooker wrote:
“Imagine beating up 5 people and not one of them is your wife. (JJones RN).”
