Dan Bilzerian, Donald Cerrone and Anthony Smith are embroiled in a surprising feud over UFC 235

UFC 235 had Anthony Smith challenging Jon Jones for the UFC Light Heavyweight title. This was supposed to be the main story of the event, which took place in 2019, however, another incident has made the news in recent weeks.

Smith spoke to Michael Bisping on his Believe You Me Podcast and claimed that his mother and wife were moved away from their seats by Dan Bilzerian and Donald Cerrone (h/t BJ Penn).

Smith claimed that Bilzerian (a noted poker player) and Cerrone were both drunk. Bilzerian was also accused of watching porn on his phone during the PPV.

However, Bilzerian has hit back at these claims and Cerrone shared a screenshot of the message the poker star sent to Smith (h/t BJ Penn):

“So I saw your nonsensical story where you’re using my name for clickbait,” Bilzerian said to Smith.

“You should at least try to have some semblance of truth in there. First off, Cowboy invited me to that fight and he had the tickets. I didn’t ask anyone to move and certainly not your mother. I also didn’t watch porn, if she was looking at my phone I’m sure what she saw was a random Snapchat from a girl that turned out to be naked when I opened it.”

“I don’t drink so I certainly wasn’t hammered. Your depiction of this story is complete bulls***.”

Anthony Smith back in action at UFC 277

This is certainly a bizarre incident between the trio, but Smith will now be focused on his upcoming fight on 30 July, 2022.

The former UFC title challenger will take on Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 277. Ankalaev has just one loss to his name and is on an eight-fight winning streak.

Smith seemed to be out of sorts after his loss to Jones. Lionheart lost two of his next three fights. However, he has bounced back with three impressive wins.

His last win was a submission over Ryan Spain in September 2021, and it will be interesting to see how he does against Ankalaev.
