Conor McGregor’s Black Forge Inn in Dublin, Ireland was subject to attack recently

Not quite the start to the year Conor McGregor would have expected. The Irishman’s pub – The Black Forge Inn was subject to Molotov Cocktail and Petrol Bomb attack recently.

The pub which was purchased by McGregor for $2 million a couple of years ago was targeted by unidentified vandals. The police are still investigating the same.

It is believed that there was no threat to life or damage to property during the attack. In fact, the petrol bomb thrown failed to ignite.

Although McGregor did not comment on the same, a spokesperson said:

“Gardaí are investigating an incident of attempted criminal damage at a licenced premise on the Drimnagh Road, Crumlin last night, Wednesday, January 12, 2022.No damage was done to the premises. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in relation to this incident.” [via Independent Ireland]

There is no doubt Conor McGregor made a truckload of money in the year 2021. After a rather inactive 2020, McGregor fought twice in the year 2021.

More recently, the Online Betting Guide released the list of Highest Earning Athletes Per Minute in 2021. The list saw McGregor sit right at the top.

The Irishman made a stunning $8.6 million per minute. He was followed by Mexican boxing champion Canelo Alvarez who made $444k per minute – a much smaller number compared to McGregor’s.

Others on the list were – Tom Brady, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.
