Conor McGregor has fought just once in his professional boxing career

Conor McGregor has always been vocal about a professional boxing bout ever since his first-ever fight against Floyd Mayweather.

The Irishman took on the undefeated boxer who had come out of retirement. McGregor was able to survive ten rounds with Mr. Money, before succumbing to a TKO loss.

Although he lost, McGregor was able to win hearts.

In a recent Twitter Q&A session with the fans, McGregor revealed if he would switch to Boxing later on in his career, when asked by a fan.

McGregor hinted that he might possibly switch to Boxing, before stating that he would be heading into a title shot on his return (probably believes Dustin Poirier would be having the title).

“Possibly. The leg tho will be more than equipped to kick. I am billi walking straight to a title shot on my return and it sickens the bums of this business. Which is the real reason these constant disrespectful comments come by way. God bless them.”

Even before coming out of retirement earlier this year at UFC 257, McGregor was flirting with the idea of fighting Manny Pacquiao in the middle east.

When asked about when he would be returning to the Octagon, McGregor revealed that he would be back in 2022 – fully loaded.

He tweeted:

“2022. I’m improving rapidly! Working with the best team money can buy! I’ll be back in no time, lock loaded!”

McGregor is also serving a medical suspension following his UFC 264 injury. The suspension, which is for 6 years, gets over only in January 2022.
