Conor McGregor will take on Dustin Poirier in a trilogy fight in a month’s time

Revenge will be on McGregor’s mind when he takes on Poirier on the 10th of July, in the main event of UFC 264.

The last time the pair met, it was at UFC 257 and McGregor suffered the first ever knockout loss of his career.

The rivalry began at UFC 178 in September 2014, when McGregor demolished ‘The Diamond’ in the very first round via. TKO.

Now that the score currently reads 1-1, their fight at UFC 264 will prove to be a cracker of a contest.

McGregor who had been training and spending his time in Dubai all these days, has arrived in the United States.

He recently took to Twitter to share a photo outside his gym in California. “At my Cali gym, @McGregorFast,” he wrote.

McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh had also shared a photo catching up with the ‘Notorious’ in California.

It is make or break for Conor McGregor

McGregor is a foot inside ‘Tony Ferguson territory’ right now. The largely feared Ferguson has lost three consecutive fights and is in the worst phase of his career.

Although McGregor hasn’t been in such a terrible form, he surely has been a mere shadow of his former self. Plus, the knockout loss against Poirier, last time around has been an absolute ‘confidence shatterer’.

A loss again will probably cause him to lose relevance in the lightweight division. However, a win would earn him a title shot against the champion Charles Oliveira. Hence, ‘The Irishman’ might probably be in the last chance saloon.
