UFC lightweight Conor McGregor has been playing ‘tweet and delete’ over the last few weeks

Conor McGregor has been recovering from the ankle break he sustained at UFC 264. The ankle break resulted in his loss against Dustin Poirier in a crucial trilogy fight.

He underwent surgery the next day, and is slowly getting back to normal. He was also slapped with a 6-month medical suspension.

‘The Notorious’ has been pretty active on Twitter. He has been aiming derogatory tweets at his rivals Poirier, Khabib Nurmagomedov and a few others. However, he ends up deleting such tweets after a while.

One such Tweet was aimed at Khabib’s father. The Tweet read, “Covid is good and father is evil?” This Tweet, caused a massive uproar and the MMA community lashed at McGregor for his insensitive comments.

Khabib’s dear friend and former UFC heavyweight Daniel Cormier told recently in a recent episode of DC&RC that he was worried if Khabib would have gotten upset. Cormier also lashed into McGregor for his comments.

“I get shock value and I get trying to get people to talk but way too far. To the point that I immediately called Khabib last night and said, ‘Hey, are you OK?’ Asking him if he’s OK after having to see that, especially with no ability to do anything about it again. He spoke to my kids at my wrestling program the other day and said he was never happier than when he got to fight McGregor on the day, because for so long, he wanted to get his hands on Conor and beat Conor up.”

Cormier’s comments didn’t sit well with McGregor. Ever since that day, he has been firing shots at Cormier through his Tweets, and later deleting it.

A couple of days ago, McGregor posted a picture of Cormier with the caption:

“A cry for help if I ever seen one.”

More recently, McGregor posted a picture of himself landing a leg kick on Poirier. He captioned it, calling DC a “fat drunk f***.” He deleted it after a while.

The tweet read:

“Clean check right there by Poirier” fat drunk f*** DC.”
