The two who were once friends (also teammates) are now one of the most bitter rivals in combat sports.

Covington, recently reacted to the news of the fight announcement. On Instagram, ‘Chaos’ wrote:

Street Judas gets buried in sin city March 5th.”

The last few months have seen a lot of trash-talking, especially from Covington. ‘Chaos’ very often ensures that the rivalry is made intensely personal and fierce.

Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal are coming off a Kamaru Usman loss

Colby Covington’s last fight was against Kamaru Usman at UFC 269. The pair squared off in a rematch for the welterweight title.

After 5 rounds of back and forth, and Covington putting on a more inspired performance than he did the first time, Usman earned a hard-fought win.

Masvidal, on the other hand, had a title fight in his last outing as well. He took on ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ and was knocked out for the first time in his UFC career.

Covington-Masvidal could be for the BMF belt, since ‘Gamebred’ is the one who currently owns it.
