Coach John Kavanagh has played an important role in the rise of Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor has one of the most, if not the most important match of his career coming up.
He will be taking on Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 264 on the 10th of July. After having lost to ‘The Diamond’ last time around, McGregor is determined to exact revenge this time.
At UFC 257, when he lost to Poirier, an “un-McGregor” showed up. He was humble, there was no trash-talking; it was an entirely different McGregor. He wasn’t in his usual ‘Notorious’ self.
The humble version of McGregor was badly beaten by Poirier. It was also his first-ever knockout loss.
A few weeks after his loss to Poirier, McGregor took to social media to announce that he was no more “Mr. Nice Guy”.
And since then, fight fans have been waiting for the usual trash-talking, arrogant and whatnot McGregor to show up.

Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh has been a part of his meteoric rise to stardom and fame.
He recently took to Twitter and quote tweeted UFC’s video which showed an intimidating McGregor staring right into the eyes of Poirier from a distance, prior to their UFC 178 fight.
Kavanagh captioned it:
“Say ello to the bad guy.”
McGregor clearly got into Poirier’s head before UFC 178. He did none of that at UFC 257, which many believe to have resulted in his defeat.
With his coach confirming that the ‘Notorious’ version would turn up, fans and the MMA community will have to embrace for one hell of a ride.
