Khamzat Chimaev wants another fight next and that could be against Belal Muhammad

Khamzat Chimaev is willing to fight again soon and might have his next opponent ready too.

The Swede returned to action at UFC 267 where he defeated Li Jingliang in dominant fashion. Chimaev had been out of action for more than a year after contracting Covid-19 and he had a tough time getting over the virus.

However, he doesn’t seem to have lost any of his abilities inside the Octagon and wanted a big fight next.

While the UFC thinks about who he could fight next, possibly before the end of the year, the Swede is keen on mixing it up.

Chimaev called out Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns and added that Leon Edwards didn’t want a piece of him.

Edwards vs Masvidal was set for UFC 279. However, Gamebred pulled out due to an injury and Edwards called out the champ, Kamaru Usman.

Muhammad, for his part, is on a six-fight unbeaten run. His last outing was against Demian Maia and Bully got the win via unanimous decision.

The 33-year-old accepted Chimaev’s request and it is to be seen if this fight will be made official by the UFC.

Chimaev is the rising star of the UFC and is undefeated in his career. The Swede is 10-0 and has dominated all his opponents inside the Octagon.

While Muhammad might not be the high calibre name that Chimaev wanted after UFC 267, it will still be a big test.

Muhammad has looked impressive at times and this could be his chance to firmly put his name in the title scene, with a win.
