Conor McGregor loves to talk trash during press conferences and has a fan in Derrick Lewis

Derrick Lewis was the latest guest on the Joe Rogan Experience and the Black Beast spoke a lot about Conor McGregor.

Lewis and McGregor have called out each other several times in the past. However, it is unlikely they will ever face off in the Octagon since they are in separate weight classes.

That hasn’t stopped Lewis from speaking about McGregor and The Black Beast brought up the Irishman’s future fight.

Lewis spoke about McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 after the Irishman lost but also loved to hear The Notorious One speak:

“Yeah that should be a good fight.

“I like Conor. I like watching him fight, I like hearing him talk. See what he got to say.”

Rogan brought up how valuable McGregor’s personality is in all this. The UFC commentator added that some of his KOs were through his personality and people loved to watch McGregor.

Conor McGregor is crazy

Lewis also brought up an example of the crazy that McGregor is. This was regarding his fight against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone.

McGregor trashed him a bit before the fight and got the win too:

“Yeah, he is crazy though. He always has me laughing. Just feel sorry for those little guys though, like having to go to press conference to talk.

“You can’t really say anything.”

It was Rogan who brought up the Cerrone bit and Lewis felt bad for Cowboy too:

“Him fighting Cowboy ad he was talking s*** to Cowboy before the fight and I am like, I feel bad for Cowboy because he didn’t really say anything to him.”

However, such tactics have worked in the past for McGregor. Rogan brought up how McGregor got into the head of Jose Aldo before their title fight.

The Brazilian was the champion coming into their clash but was out of sorts. McGregor’s mind games worked and he got the KO win over his rival in just 13 seconds.

The Irishman remains one of the best when it comes to mind games but those haven’t worked in recent times.

Khabib Nurmagomedov got the better of McGregor at UFC 229 and even Poirier did the same at UFC 257.
