Ali Abdelaziz promises to quit MMA if this happens to Kayla Harrison

Kayla Harrison the judo specialist has been making a name for herself in the sport of MMA

Harrison has been unstoppable as a professional mixed martial artist, just as she was during her Judo days.

The former 2012 and 2016 Olympics gold medalist made her MMA debut only in 2018 when she was almost 28 years old.

She faced Brittney Elkin at PFL 2 (2018) on debut, and in no time she won via. submission.

And, until today she has fought 9 fights in her professional MMA career, 8 in the PFL and 1 in Invicta Fighting Championships, and she has won all 9. What’s more, she’s hardly had to break a sweat beating all her nine opponents.

Her recent victory over Mariana Morais typified the threat she poses to the women’s mixed martial arts world.

The latest development is that Dominance MMA CEO Ali Abdelaziz has promised to quit MMA if Harrison ever loses a bout.

Quote tweeting a Ben Askren tweet calling Harrison a savage, after her win over Morais, Abdelaziz tweeted, “If she ever lose I will leave Mma she cannot be touched.”

Abdelaziz’s Translator (unofficial) then clarified the vague tweet, replying:

“Translation: If Kayla were to lose an MMA bout, I would leave the MMA community.”

Now, that’s a daring claim. Probably Abdelaziz has seen a Khabib Nurmagomedov in Kayla Harrison!

Kayla Harrison runs through Mariana Morais

Kayla Harrison returned to PFL yesterday. She took on Brazilian, Mariana Morais at PFL 3 (2021) in a women’s featherweight bout.

Just 83 seconds into the bout she demolished Morais, after setting her up on the mount. She landed a truckload of punches, as a helpless Morais tried her best to evade the bombs being unleashed.

However, the referee waved off the fight, and Harrison earned her 9th successive win.

And, it looks like it will only be a matter of time before Harrison moves to the UFC and stamps her authority in the world’s biggest MMA promotion company.
