Giga Chikadze used a superb body kick and head kick to defeat Jamey Simmons

Giga Chikadze picked up the first Performance of the Night bonus in his UFC career after defeating Jamey Simmons.

The Georgian improved his MMA record to 12 wins and has just two losses. Chikadze is on a seven-fight win streak and is yet to taste defeat since moving to the UFC.

Giga, as he is called, used some smart moves in the Octagon to get the win over his opponent. He first used a body kick to lower his opponent’s guard and then unleashed an incredible head kick which connected on point.

Simmons was down as Chikadze went in for the kill and the referee had to stop the match. This was Chikadze’s fourth straight win in the UFC, and Ali Abdelaziz had one perfect word to describe the win.

The celebrated MMA agent called Giga a ninja and it was fair to say this was the right way to describe the win.

Moving up the ladder

It has been quite the journey for Chikadze as he keeps making a name for himself in the UFC. The Georgian has worked his socks off to be in the United States and he is proving his talent in the ring.

Chikadze is one of several rising Georgian stars in the UFC, and it will be interesting to see what is next for him.

The 31-year-old, in an earlier interview, had opened up about how he felt a bit of pressure to represent Georgia in the UFC.

Chikadze wanted to put Georgia on the map and was keen on winning the UFC title in the future. He is still some way off before he gets a title fight. However, if Giga keeps on picking up such impressive wins, a title shot will come sooner rather than later.
