Despite facing off just once Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov will go down as one of the greatest rivalries in UFC history

McGregor vs Khabib at UFC 229, had one of the greatest pre-fight buildups to a UFC fight. There was a lot of bad blood going into the fight, due to McGregor and his team attacking Khabib’s bus, earlier that year in April.

An enraged and furious Khabib exacted revenge at UFC 229, winning quite comprehensively in the 4th round via. submission. What followed his win, was even nastier, as both the fighters’ teams exchanged blows.

The picture of Khabib executing his neck crank on a drained McGregor, to defend his lightweight title will forever remain in history as one of the most iconic moments in sports.

Earlier today, McGregor had tweeted that fighting was easy for him, while also reminding fans of his ‘Double Champ’ moment, after he had beaten Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.

Now, McGregor, periodically has an online spat with Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz. And, today was the right time for Abdelaziz to start another online swipe, as he quote tweeted McGregor’s tweet, posting ‘the’ picture of Khabib cranking McGregor to submission.

He sarcastically captioned it: “Yes it’s very easy.”

Ali Abdelaziz says Kamaru Usman not interested in fighting Colby Covington

Kamaru Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz recently claimed that Usman felt that his old-rival Colby Covington doesn’t deserve a title shot because he has just fought Tyron Woodley since his loss at UFC 245.

Brett Okamoto of ESPN reported the news.

However, Abdelaziz did seem to have a suggestion for Covington, saying that Usman might probably accept if ‘the Chaos’ can beat some worthy opponent like Leon Edwards.

Edwards, on the other hand, was scheduled to face Nate Diaz at UFC 262, which was postponed, and is expected to take place a month later.

Therefore, for Covington to face Usman, he will have to beat Edwards’ once his fight with Diaz is done.
