Calvin Kattar has made his way to Fight Island ahead of his Max Holloway clash

The UFC is back for 2021 and the first Fight Island event is just a few days away. Fight Island became a huge talking point for the UFC after the Coronavirus outbreak and the location has been able to host many events.

Abu Dhabi has become a second home for the UFC and the first event sees Calvin Kattar taking on Max Holloway.

This is a huge fight for Kattar as he takes on a former champion in the UFC. Holloway is coming off two losses to Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski, but many believe it was Holloway who won the last fight.

Nevertheless, the Abu Dhabi hotel hosting the UFC fighters has done something special for Kattar. They have already done a lot of parties and celebrate big when a UFC star wins. Most of them get special chocolates and other goodies sent to their room after the win.

The W Abu Dhabi posted a special message for Kattar on one of the mirrors and that was something that the UFC star appreciated.

“The island is just like we left it, @wabudhabi makes you feel right at home! One week til showtime”

Looking for a big win

While Holloway is looking to get back to winning ways, this is a huge match for Kattar too. He is on a two-fight win streak and a third win could put him in contention for the title.

The 32-year-old won his last fight in Abu Dhabi too and is currently ranked #6 in the Featherweight division. Kattar has never fought for a UFC title and it will be interesting to see how he does against the championship pedigree of Holloway.
