“Don’t start throwing shade now” – Tracy Cortez takes offence to Brian Ortega’s recent comments about breakup on Twitter

Tracy Cortez and Brian Ortega were engaged but they aren’t together anymore 

Breakups can be messy and that was on show as Brian Ortega and Tracy Cortez resorted to a bit of mudslinging on Twitter this past weekend.

Ortega and Cortez were one of the MMA couples everyone was talking about. The pair were engaged and all seemed to be going great for them. However, the pair broke up for reasons unknown and well, things took a crazy turn over the past few days.

It all started with a picture of Paulo Costa and Tracy Cortez on social media. Many fans believed that Costa and Cortez were an item, though neither of the UFC stars confirmed that. 

The fans also took a shot at Ortega and claimed he made a mistake after the breakup. However, T-City made a big statement on social media saying he didn’t “fumble” anything and he threw it away.

While Cortez had not said a lot about the picture with Costa, she surely wasn’t happy with all that Ortega posted about her.

The 29-year-old took a bit of a swipe at Ortega by saying that she had not posted anything negative about him. She also did not want Ortega to be “throwing” shade now.

Tracy Cortez having fun with the Paulo Costa rumours 

The 29-year-old will next be in action on September 16 against Jasmine Jasudavicius. However, she seems to be fine being linked with Costa and even joked she was going to run with this since people were making a big story out of nothing.

The UFC star later retweeted the infamous photo of her and Costa’s and even seemed to have an initial reaction to Ortega airing his dirty laundry on social media.

Ortega, for his part, seems to be dealing with the breakup in a different way. His “likes” on Twitter seem to be about reacting to pictures of other women. Ortega hasn’t fought since losing to Yair Rodriguez at UFC on ABC 3.

He suffered a dislocated shoulder at the end of the first round and was unable to continue.
