His biggest payday was against Cody Garbrandt at UFC 227, where he defended the bantamweight title against ‘No Love’ in a rematch. Dillashaw went home with $440,000 that night.

For his last fight against Cory Sandhagen in the main event of UFC Vegas 32, Dillashaw earned a whopping  $406,000, for his split-decision victory.

Dillashaw then made his promotional debut against Walel Watson on the 15th of February in 2012. He went on a four-fight win streak, before being stopped by Raphael Assuncao via. split decision in October 2013.

Dillashaw once again went on a four-fight win streak following his loss to Assuncao, and also won the UFC bantamweight championship en-route the four-fight win streak. He beat Renan Barao to win the title.

Dillashaw defended his belt twice before going down to Dominic Cruz in a closely contested match, that saw him lose via. split decision (at UFC Fight Night: Dillashaw vs Cruz) in 2016.

He bounced back with two back-to-back wins and fought Cody Garbrandt at UFC 217 for the bantamweight title once again. In only the second round, Dillashaw knocked out Garbrandt to win the bantamweight title.

He then defended it once against Garbrandt in a rematch. Dillashaw then stepped down a weight class in a bid to become a champ-champ. He fought for the flyweight title against Henry Cejudo in January 2019, but lost via. knockout.

Following his loss to Henry Cejudo in January 2019, Dillashaw failed a drug test. He tested positive for erythropoietin (EPO). Dillashaw was banned for a whopping 2 years by the USADA. The champ was eligible to return only on the 19th of January, 2021.

He also relinquished his bantamweight title during the time he served the ban.
