Three players Liverpool could sign in the January window

Liverpool have made the perfect start to their Premier League campaign and Jurgen Klopp’s side boast of a perfect record with four wins out of four.

The Reds are unbeaten in the league so far and it only goes on to illustrate their dominance. Klopp spent quite a lot of money in the summer and raised a few eyebrows for his extravagant transfer moves. However, the new players have worked all worked wonders so far.

The Merseysiders have all bases covered but Klopp could choose to add more depth to his squad in January.

Here are three players Liverpool could sign in the winter.

1.  Kasper Schmeichel

Kasper Schmeichel

Before the start of the season, Liverpool had to find a solution to their goalkeeping problem. And they did so by breaking the bank to sign Alisson.

Loris Karius registered the most number of clean sheets in the Premier League last season but let Liverpool down on several occasions with some schoolboy errors. Consequently, Liverpool decided to loan the German out to Besiktas.

Kasper Schmeichel had an impressive World Cup campaign for Denmark and has been at Leicester City since 2011. With Karius loaned out and Simon Mignolet lacking form and consistency, Liverpool should target Schmeichel to add depth to their squad.

2. Douglas Costa

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder had a good World Cup with Brazil and currently plies his trade at Serie A club Juventus.

Liverpool have a settled combination in the attacking third but they could add more venom to it by signing the Brazilian.

Costa boasts of technical superiority, just like many of his fellow countrymen, and has the ability to play down both flanks and at the centre.

James Milner has contributed a lot to Liverpool’s success but he is on the other side of 30. Costa could add that extra spark to Liverpool’s attack and should be a perfect feeder for the likes of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

When deployed on the flanks, Costa tends to charge forward with good pace and has a lot of tricks up his sleeve to beat the defenders. Apart from his pace, flair, and vision, the Brazilian is also adept at taking accurate long-range shots.

3. Danny Rose

Probably one of the best right-backs in the Premier League, Danny Rose has been a seasoned campaigner for Tottenham Hotspur.

A versatile player, Rose has the ability to play as a left-back and a left-sided midfielder. He has good pace and often tends to charge forward to join the attack. He is quite composed at the back and times his tackles to perfection.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been good for Liverpool but they must sign Rose as it would bring some much-needed experience to the backline.
