Tottenham should beat London rivals to sign Bradley Dack

According to The Mirror, Premier League sides West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Bradley Dack. The 24-year-old has impressed in the Championship playing for Blackburn Rovers.

He has been involved in 12 goals during his 18 outings in the league this season. Dack has scored 9 and provided 3 assists. Since switching Gillingham for Blackburn in the summer of 2017, Dack has scored 29 goals and assisted 17 more in 63 games.

As a result, the London-born player has quickly established himself as one of the division’s brightest prospects. He has been vital in pushing the newly-promoted Blackburn to 11th place in the standings.

Dack is fresh from signing a three-year contract extension at Blackburn. The new improved contract will have Rovers in the front seat in any sale negotiations (h/t The Mirror).

A versatile operator, Dack is often deployed as an attacking midfielder behind the main striker. However, he can also play on either flank. Should Rovers decide to cash in, they’ll be in line to receive a windfall amount.

A move south could appeal to London-born Dack. West Ham are keen to add a playmaker to fill in for the injured Manuel Lanzini. Dack fits the bill, however, the Hammers would first have to sell before they can buy since they have a rather inflated squad.

Manuel Pellegrini could offload players such as Andy Carroll and Winston Reid to free up funds. Palace are also keen to add to their attacking options, with Wilfried Zaha often used in a central role this season. Roy Hodgson’s side needs reinforcements in January if they are to avoid a relegation catfight. The Eagles are currently 16th in the league, two points off the drop zone.

All that said and done, a move to Tottenham would be ideal for Dack. Over recent seasons, Spurs have established themselves in the top four. Mauricio Pochettino’s side failed to make any signings in the summer and their lack of squad depth has already been exposed.

Adding the versatile Dack, who is an excellent finisher, would take some goalscoring pressures off Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

A good dribbler and passer, the 24-year-old could make the difference in the middle of the park for Spurs in tight games. With an ability to do layoffs and provide crucial assists, Dack could help consolidate Spurs’ top four fight.
