Che Adams

Three Premier League sides Birmingham City striker Che Adams can join

The Mirror has revealed that not one but twelve Premier League clubs have scouted Birmingham City striker Che Adams, with the youngster impressing in the Championship.

The 22-year-old is an incredible scoring form, having produced 18 goals in 30 appearances this season. Not only that he’s well on his way to breaking Steve Claridge’s 23-year record, to become only the second Birmingham City player to score 20 goals in a season.

While he did arrive in the summer of 2016, since then Adams has made just over 100 appearances for the club, producing 42 goals at a rate of 2.3 games per goal/assist. That’s a stunning rate for a Championship forward and the 22-year-old has ways to go. But with the January window open, circumstances could force a move for the striker to the Premier League, amid such interest.

That being said, here are three potential destinations for 22-year-old Che Adams.

#3 Huddersfield Town

Manager-less Huddersfield Town could essentially be the best place for Che Adams, especially given their lack of goals this season. The Terriers have had a miserable time in their second Premier League season, and are currently the lowest scoring team, which removes the pressure from Adams if a move does take place.

Their current forwards are Steve Mounie, Adama Diakhaby and Laurent Depoitre have all failed to impress this season, scoring just one goal between the three of them. Now while they are currently manager-less, Adams would be able to slot straight into the starting line-up and hopefully make a big impact.

However, given the fact that Huddersfield are facing the possibility of relegation, there is a chance that the ambitious 22-year-old, may not want to climb aboard a sinking ship

#2 Leicester City

If there is anyone the Foxes need a replacement for it’s Jamie Vardy. The retired England striker is 32 and is past his prime but that hasn’t slowed him down. So far he’s made 19 appearances, scoring 7 goals and producing a further 2 assists, but that’s a massive step down considering how many he was scoring a few years ago.

That’s exactly why the Mirror has revealed that one of the 12 clubs is Leicester City, as they target a replacement for their determined number 9. While Vardy’s work-rate cannot be replicated, they can come very close by bringing in Che Adams. The Birmingham City forward scores goals, troubles defences and works very hard for his side.

All qualities that fit the Foxes, which is more than what Kelechi Iheanacho does, and while the former Manchester City man is a good goalscorer, he’s yet to show that for the King Power Stadium side.

#1 Wolverhampton Wanderers

If Che Adams joins Wolves, the Molineux Stadium side will have the fastest attack in the Premier League. Alongside Adama Traore and even Diogo Jota, Adams could wreak havoc on Premier League defences, thanks in part to Nuno Espirito Santo’s tactics and style of play as witnessed so far.

For Wolves, however, what could be a plus point is the 22-year-old’s performance alongside target man Lukas Jutkiewicz, with the two flourishing together. This bodes well for any potential move, as it means that Adams can play well alongside a second striker like Raul Jiminez, and it could potentially be a very lethal partnership.

That combined with Che Adams’ ability to play as a No. 10 or even a winger, does help Wolves further but they’ll need to make the move fast before the January window closes.
