UFC has seen several top female talents over the years and here are five of the best fighters
The Ultimate Fighting Championship isn’t just a male-dominated sport with several top female fighters over the years.
There have been several incredible battles amongst the female competitors in the UFC over the years.
Several men, such as Khabib Nurmagomedov or Connor McGregor, have dominated their divisions for a long spell.
However, the women aren’t far behind and some of them have even gone on to bigger things outside the UFC ring.
Ronda Rousey is one of the best UFC female fighters of all time, and she is included in our list of the best:

#1 Valentina Shevchenko
Valentina Anatolievna Shevchenko is considered as one of the best UFC fighters of all time.
The 31-year-old from Kyrgyzstan fights in the flyweight division of the UFC and is the current champion in the division.
She started her training in taekwondo at the age of five and her fighting style includes a mix of boxing, judo, kickboxing and Muay Thai too.
The 31-year-old has won several Muay Thai titles in her career and has 18 wins and three losses in her MMA career.
She is also unbeaten in her boxing career and has two wins from two.
#2 Amanda Nunes
The 31-year-old Brazilian is the reigning Bantamweight and Featherweight champion in the UFC.
Amanda Nunes holds an astonishing record of 23 wins and four losses in her MMA career. However, her last MMA loss came in 2014 when Cat Zingano beat her.
The Brazilian has won her last 10 bouts and started training in karate at the age of four. Nunes started her MMA career at Strikeforce and Invicta FC but her real success came in UFC.
She lifted the Featherweight title by beating Cris Cyborg after just 51 seconds and became the first female to hold two belts from different divisions simultaneously.
Nunes still has a few more years in the UFC and she could be one of the greatest female fighters ever.
#3 Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey hasn’t been seen in an MMA fight since 2016, but she was the ‘baddest’ woman on the planet for a while.
The American was 12-0 in her career before Holly Holm and Nunes beat her. Rousey then tried her luck in professional wrestling and lifted the championship, but has been out of action for a while.
Rousey also won bronze for the United States in the 2008 Summer Olympics and has featured in several movies too.
The 32-year-old was voted as the best female athlete of all-time in a 2015 ESPN fan poll. Rousey is also the only female to headline a pay-per-view event for the WWE and UFC and hold belts in both promotions too.
#4 Cris Cyborg
Cristiane Justino Venâncio or Cris Cyborg is currently signed with Bellator MMA but that doesn’t stop her from being on the list.
The 34-year-old Brazilian-American was the UFC Featherweight champion and is the only female to have held division belts across the three major MMA promotions.
She won the Featherweight division titles at UFC, Strikeforce and Invicta and has also won titles at amateur wrestling and kickboxing.
Cyborg’s last fight for UFC was at UFC 240 and she ended that night with a win over Felicia Spencer.
The 34-year-old holds a 21-2 record in MMA and also holds an 8-1 record in grappling too.
#5 Joanna Jedrzejczyk
The 32-year-old Polish star is a former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion and has even tried her hand at Muay Thai.
She was a relatively late comer into contact sport with Jedrzejczyk coming across Muay Thai while taking up fitness.
The Pole won six IFMA medal and four IFMA European titles during her stint in Muay Thai. Jedrzejczyk has a 16-3 record in MMA fights while her kickboxing record is impressive at 27 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw.

The 32-year-old won several awards in 2015 due to her incredible form, however, she has lost three of her last five bouts in the octagon.
