The Miz Career
Miz started his career by joining the UPW and made his in-ring debut in 2003 under the name of The Miz. In October 2004, Mizanin entered the fourth season of Tough Enough but unfortunately couldn’t win it. After that, however, he got the offer of a developmental contract from WWE at OVW, where he spent around 2 years.
Mizanin made his main roster debut for SmackDown as a host for hyping the crowd at the top of the show. He went on to make his in-ring debut against Tatanka with a win.
A SmackDown episode saw The Miz become a team member with John Morrison and become the WWE Tag team Champions by defeating Matt Hardy and Montel Vontabious. It was also his first Championship. They also won the World Tag Team Championship that year. He and R-Truth made a stable referred to as The Awesome Truth.
In 2010, Miz won the Raw’s Money in the Bank ladder match to win a WWE contract for the WWE Championship, which he successfully cashed in against Randy Orton to become the new champion.
Miz brought in Damien Sandow as his stunt double after adopting a movie star persona. Miz and Mildew won the WWE Tag team Championship by winning a fatal four-way match.
The Mizanin won the Intercontinental Championship a total of eight times. Additionally, he won the United States Championship two times and a total of eight Tag-Team championship titles.
Mr. Awesome is the only WWE Triple Crown and Grand Slam champion to own the Deep South Wrestling Heavyweight Championship.
John Morrison made his return in the 2020 Royal Rumble match, Morrison and Miz reunited as tag-team partners, and won the SmackDown Tag-team title from the New Day at Super Showdown.
The Miz suffered a legitimate injury while tearing the ACL, which took him away from WWE. However, he did return on August 16 this year and attacked Morrison, which ended their stable.
