Wang and Zhu have had a great campaign in Thailand in both the singles and doubles events. They will face each other in the semifinals of the singles event.

In the round of 16, Zhu and Wang defeated the team of Anastasia Tikhonova and Natalija Kostic in a topsy-turvy encounter. After losing the first set, Tikhonova and Kostic came back to win the second set. However, Zhu and Wang eventually won the match 6-2, 4-6, 10-7. In the quarterfinals, Zhu and Wang eased past the team of Na-lae Han and Jang Su-jeong. The South Korean duo lost 3-6, 3-6 as their opponents converted 5 out of 6 break points. The semifinals also saw a dominant performance from the Chinese duo. They outplayed the local pair of Peangtarn Plipuech and Luksika Kumkhum and won the match in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.

The Taiwanese duo has shown great coordination and breezed into the finals on the back of some memorable performances.

In the round of 16, they had a relatively comfortable win against Erin Routliffe and Xiyu Wang. The first set was one-sided but the second set saw stiff competition. The match eventually ended 6-1, 7-5 in favor of Hao-ching and Fang-Hsien. In the quarterfinals, they produced a near-perfect effort, defeating the top-seeded team of Tamara Zidansek and Ellen Perez in straight sets 6-2, 6-4. The semifinals saw Hao-ching and Fang-Hsien take on the 4th-seeded team of Lathisa Chan and Alexa Guarachi. Hao-ching and Fan-Hsien were trailing 1-6, 0-3 when they made a miraculous comeback. They eventually won the match 1-6, 6-4, 10-7.
