The former world No. 1 is one of the best players to have played the sport. We have seen him dominate opponents and bounce back from precarious situations for many years now. He has tremendous self-belief and that has held him in good stead all these years. This self-belief was there with him since he was a young kid.

A throwback television interview of a young 7-year-old Djokovic has recently surfaced on the internet where the future legend is seen talking about the game and his target going forward.

Djokovic was asked what he liked about tennis. To this he replied:

“I like the forehand, the backhand, and the volleys. This is how I beat my opponents.”

The young Serbian was asked if his opponents get mad at him when he beats them and to this, he replied: “No.” Djokovic was then asked if he got mad when he lost to his opponents and his answer was the same.

Djokovic was eventually asked about his target in tennis and he said: “My target is to become a champion!” Almost three decades later, Djokovic has won 21 titles and is a champion in every sense of the word.
