There have been multiple instances of Roger Federer hitting four aces in a row in an ATP tour match – the one against Novak Djokovic is one of them

A video clip of Roger Federer hitting four consecutive aces against Novak Djokovic has surfaced on the internet. The clip is from the 2014 Shanghai masters when the two stars faced each other in the semi-final stage. Federer eventually won the match in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.

Federer served four aces in a row while leading 4-3 in the first set against the Serbian. The Swiss superstar eventually went on to win the tournament by defeating Giles Simon in the final. However, his semi-final encounter against Djokovic is more vividly remembered thanks to his four back-to-back aces.

Federer produced arguably his best tennis of the 2014 season to upset Djokovic 6-4, 6-4, snapping the two-time defending champion’s 28-match winning streak on Chinese soil.
