Roger Federer shares how he wants to play on fast courts

Tennis legend Roger Federer on Sunday shared his views regarding how desperately he wants to come back to action and taste the success on fast courts.

The former World No.1 made a surprise appearance for his fans on an Italian TV channel ahead of the semi-final clash between Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev.

He along with his coach Ivan Ljubicic talked in length about how fast the courts are in today’s time in comparison to a few years back. The Swiss said:

Federer would love to return to action

“The courts here this year are actually quite fast, we would have had a lot of fun, maybe in the future we’ll have the opportunity to enjoy them

“I also heard the US Open was fast, I’m hearing the Tour Finals is fast, so I’m missing out. It’s all good, it’s part of the game, I’ve had a great career so far, and I’ve learned a lot on the slow courts, I’ve enjoyed playing on the fast courts as well, but also clay is where I grew up, so no problem.”

The 20-time Grand Slam champion is currently injured and is in recovery mode.
