On the other hand, I’m sh*tlisting some of my colleagues who literally saw me today on crutches in Tokyo and didn’t say a word. It cannot be hard to be a nice person”, she wrote. The Australian further added, “Just makes sad and makes me not wanna go through it all again to make a comeback on the tour and spend most of the time and seeing these people.”

However, the Brazilian has also been awarded a walkover due to injury and Osaka will now be directly seen in action in the Quarter-finals. Although Osaka is unseeded, the former world no.1 is expected to go all the way and clinch the title on her home turf in Tokyo.
