The Super Bowl is widely considered as the biggest sporting event in the United States with millions of viewers watching the show.

The Bowl isn’t just about two teams playing though as a lot has been made regarding the half-time show. TV ad spots also run into millions and the event has the feel of a huge party for fans across the country.

However, the NFL has been expanding quite a bit in other countries as well. Europe and other countries in North America have a decent following of the league as well.

The 2022 Super Bowl features a couple of teams that weren’t expected to make it to the final. The Los Angeles Rams will face the Cincinnati Bengals and here is all you need to know about the big match.

Super Bowl LVI preview

The Super Bowl will be played in Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on Sunday, 13 February 2022.

The Rams will be looking for their fourth Super Bowl and the last time they won the trophy was back in 1999.

However, the Bengals will be keen on breaking their duck as they play their first ever Super Bowl.

There is some hope for the Rams as they become the second-consecutive team to play the Super Bowl in their home stadium. This will be a match between the AFC’s fourth seed and the NFC’s fourth seed.

The Rams finished the season with a 12-5 record and beat the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the San Francisco Giants to reach the Super Bowl.

The Bengals, for their part, defeated the Las Vegas Raiders, the Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs to figure in the big match.

This will be a battle of two quarterbacks at the top of their games too with Matthew Stafford of the Rams and Joe Burrow of the Bengals trying to take their team over the line.

Super Bowl LVI prediction

While the odds suggest that the Rams are the favourites to win the Super Bowl, the match-up is far more even, according to the prediction of many pundits.

It will be interesting to see which team stars right off the bat like a house on fire, but a close game could work in the favour of the Rams, thanks to the NFL experience of Stafford.
