His losses have come up against some of the biggest names in the sport. Miocic succumbed to Daniel Cormier at UFC 226 when he lost his heavyweight belt.

Before that, he lost to Junior dos Santos and Stefan Struve. Miocic went on to have his revenge against dos Santos, whom he beat at UFC 211, and Cormier, who lost to him at UFC 241 and UFC 252.

He has won 6 title fights in the UFC and would be looking to stretch that number up to 7 come UFC 260.

He plans to become a full-time firefighter once his MMA career. He says that this is a way for him to fall back on something once he stops being active inside the octagon.

Stipe Miocic Next Fight

Miocic’s next fight is a massive one as he looks to defend his belt for the second time in a row. He faced Francis Ngannou for the UFC heavyweight championship at UFC 260.

The main event, which took place on 27th March, 2021, is a rematch of their earlier bout at UFC 220.

Miocic, of course, won back then but the fight went the full 5 rounds. And with Ngannou training with Teddy Atlas and having Kamaru Usman help him work on his wrestling, the rematch might just be more evenly match than people think so.

This is the first time that Miocic will face an opponent other than Daniel Cormier since January 20, 2018. And that opponent was the Cameroonian Ngannou himself.

However, things didn’t go in Miocic’s favour. He was knocked out by Ngannou in the second round and lost his belt.
