Predicted Man United XI to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League

Manchester United faces a trip to Selhurst Park as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aims to beat Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.

The Red Devils drew their last game with Liverpool at home and that should certainly pump them up to take all three points from the midweek game in south London.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, come into this game off the back of a stunning 4-1 victory at Leicester City.

Team News

Solskjaer will surely be worried about his team selection since he is likely to miss close to half a dozen of his first-team players.

Nemanja Matic has been ruled out of action for a couple of weeks after having picked up a muscle injury, while Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard limped off in the first half against Liverpool.

Marcus Rashford also picked up a knock on Sunday, while Anthony Martial remains a doubt.

Probable Manchester United XI

Formation: 3-5-2

Manager: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

David de Gea (GK)

De Gea kept his 100th clean sheet in the Premier League against Liverpool on Sunday. He will be hoping to keep one at Palace as well.

Diogo Dalot (RWB)

Dalot could be handed a start ahead of Young at right wing-back on Wednesday. The young Portuguese is an extremely composed defender and will look to repay his manager’s faith.

Victor Lindelof

Victor Lindelof (RCB)

Lindelof continues to get better and better with every passing game. He’s one of the first names on the team sheet.

Chris Smalling (CB)

With his physical presence and strength, Smalling will look to keep the Palace attackers at bay on Wednesday.

Eric Bailly (LCB)

Bailly has had an inconsistent campaign for Manchester United, so the Ivorian will look to grab any opportunity with both the hands.

Luke Shaw (LWB)

Shaw was excellent against Liverpool, keeping Salah at bay. The England international will retain his place in the team.

Luke Shaw

Scott McTominay (CM)

McTominay repaid Solskjaer’s faith on Sunday with a commanding display in midfield. With Matic out for a few weeks, the academy graduate could get a run of games for United.

Andreas Pereira (CM)

Stuck to his task after replacing Herrera on Sunday and gave Liverpool midfielders very little space to breathe. He should partner McTominay in central midfield at Selhurst Park.

Paul Pogba (CAM)

The onus will be on Pogba to guide United’s young midfield and put in a stellar display. The Frenchman is in brilliant form and will look to make his presence felt against Palace.

Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku (LS)

With Rashford and Martial doubts, Lukaku could be handed a start in his preferred role up top. The Belgian desperately needs goals and will look to make himself a thorn for the Palace defenders.

Alexis Sanchez (RS)

Sanchez looks low on confidence but a goal or two will certainly help him to some extent. The Chilean could partner Lukaku up top in the midweek fixture.
