The 19-year-old desperately needs to win a series of matches on the trot and it will be even better if she can win a title. She seems to be quite low on confidence after her prolonged run of bad form. A few wins can help her regain some confidence.
Raducanu has not been able to put up performances of note in 2022. Since the 2021 US Open, Raducanu has not reached the semifinal stage at the 17 tournaments she has played in. Her best results have come at the Transylvania Open, the Stuttgart Open, and the Citi Open, where she made it to the quarterfinals. Raducanu lost in the first round at this US Open against Alize Cornet.
Dayana Yastremska
The World No. 89 made it to the finals of the Lyon Open before losing to Zhang Shuai. The Ukrainian tennis pro made it to the quarterfinals of the Dubai Tennis Championships before losing to Marketa Vondrousova. She made the quarterfinals of the Birmingham Classic before once again suffering defeat against Shuai. Another noteworthy performance from Yastremska came at the Copa Colsanitas where she once again made the quarterfinals.
Yastremska will have the chance of beating a former Grand Slam champion who would be licking her wounds following the US Open debacle.
