West Ham will need strength in depth ahead of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign as they look to cause a stir in the Europa League group stages for the very first time.
Two players that fans have been talking about recently are Alex Kral and Tammy Abraham. If the Hammers manage to land both in the transfer window, then another top six finish and a good run in Europe cannot be discounted.

From the Czech Republic to East London?
Alex Kral plays alongside Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal in the heart of the Czech midfield, and speculation has been growing that David Moyes wants to bring him to the club. He could be available for around £15m too, which would be great business.
He currently plays for Spartak Moscow, who finished the season in second place in Russia behind Zenit St Petersburg. He’s rumoured to be keen on a move to the Premier League, but some West Ham fans have raised concerns after a below-par performance in the first game at Euro 2020 against Scotland.
Adding him to the ranks would undoubtedly bolster the midfield that will be stretched next season with more fixtures. So will he be playing at the London Stadium next season? At the moment, it’s just a rumour, but there’s no smoke without fire, right?
Tammy Abraham wants regular football
Tammy Abraham played over 20 games for Chelsea in the Premier League last season, but he seems out of favour with Thomas Tuchel as we head into the 2021/22 season. However, some top sources have stated that Abraham is at the top of David Moyes’ wish list, and qualifying for European football has certainly not done the Hammers any harm in their pursuit of him.
There’s talk of Harry Kane heading to Chelsea with Abraham moving the other way, and there’s also rumours he may move abroad to get regular first-team football. At only 23, he wants to be playing every week, which is understandable.
It’s not yet known how much he’ll set clubs back if he were to move, but a young English striker with bags of potential will probably be around the £30m-£40m mark. Can West Ham afford this? Arguably not. Especially if they end up signing Jesse Lingard on a permanent deal.
But if the Hammers can pull off this double swoop before the season begins, their squad will be dramatically improved. West Ham are crying out for a 20 goal a season striker – could Tammy be that person? Watch this space.
