Predicted 4-3-3 Manchester United XI to face Bournemouth in the Premier League

Manchester United might have had a dismal start to their campaign but the Red Devils showed a lot of promise in the 2-1 win over Everton last weekend. Jose Mourinho’s men will be looking to build on the positives when they make the trip to the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth on Saturday.

However, it’s not going to be that straightforward for the Red Devils when they face Eddie Howe’s men away from home. Bournemouth have been in red-hot form this season and they sit 6th in the Premier League standings with 20 points, 3 points clear of United who are currently placed 8th.

Team News

Marouane Fellaini and Diogo Dalot are ruled out due to injuries while Antonio Valencia is doubtful to feature on Saturday due to lack of match fitness following a complicated facial surgery. Scott McTominay is also a doubt for this weekend and his selection will be subject to a late fitness test.

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Jose Mourinho

He struggled a bit against Chelsea and Juventus but came back with a decent performance against Everton last weekend.

Chris Smalling (CB)

He has been quite solid in the heart of the defence this season but Mourinho will be expecting him to improve his concentration levels after giving away a penalty in the last game.

Victor Lindelof (CB)

He has shown a lot of improvement in the last couple of games and the manager has every reason to expect more from him.

Luke Shaw (LB)

Didn’t have the best of times defensively in the last game but he is always an important part of the team who contributes equally to both attack and defence.

The Brazilian marked his return to the first-team with a fantastic performance last time around and United will depend on him to spark the creativity with his link-up play and incisive passing.

He had a very good game against Everton. Looked tidy with his passing in the final third, acting as a feeder for the likes of Martial and Rashford.

Marcus Rashford (ST)

Romelu Lukaku looked horribly out of touch even when he came on as a substitute in the last game so Mourinho should persist with the English international in the eleven.
