Predicted Leeds United XI to face Bolton Wanderers in the Championship

Kemar Roofe’s brace helped Leeds United register their fourth consecutive win in the Championship last week and the Peacocks will be the favourites to make it five in a row when they make the trip to the Macron Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

Leeds are currently 2nd in the standings, just a point behind leaders Norwich City and Bolton will be hoping to turn their fortunes around after losing 3-2 against the Canaries last week.

Team News

Marcelo Bielsa doesn’t have any notable injuries to contend with for the weekend clash as all the players are fit and ready to go. He is not expected to make too many changes to the line-up that bagged all three points against QPR last week.

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Manager: Marcelo Bielsa

Predicted XI

1. Bailey Peacock-Farrell (GK)

The Northern Irishman has recovered from that bizarre showing against West Brom last month, making some key saves in recent weeks.

2. Jamie Shackleton (RB)

He did a decent job in the last game against QPR and should be amongst the starters for this one as well.

3. Kalvin Phillips (CB)

He looked a bit out of sorts in the previous outing and Leeds will need him to put in an improved performance this weekend.

4. Pontus Jansson (CB)

He has been one of the standout figures for the Peacocks at the back this season and there is no reason why Bielsa should bench him for this one.

5. Barry Douglas (LB)

The former Wolves man has contributed equally to both attack and defence and he will be expected to keep up his good work.

6. Adam Forshaw (CDM)

The Englishman had a good outing against QPR in a defensive midfield position and Bielsa should continue to rely on him.

7. Pablo Hernandez (RW)

The veteran Spaniard has chipped in with valuable goals and assists this season and the Peacocks will need him to fire once again.

8. Samuel Saiz (CM)

He had a decent outing against QPR and should get another start.

9. Mateusz Klich (CM)

The Polish international had a positive influence in the midfield last week and he should be rewarded with another start.
