Predicted Wolverhampton Wanderers XI to face Bournemouth in the Premier League

Wolverhampton Wanderers continued their impressive run of form last week as the Premier League new boys claimed all three points with a 2-1 victory over Newcastle United, thanks to Matt Doherty’s late winner.

Wolves have looked like a completely different unit after putting an end to their six-game losing streak with a 2-1 win against Chelsea but Nuno Santo’s men will face a tough test against Bournemouth at home on Saturday.

Bournemouth lost 4-0 against Liverpool last week and the Cherries will be looking to get their campaign back on track with a positive result from this game.

Nuno Santo should be really thankful to the fitness staff for keeping all the players fit for selection. The manager hasn’t had too many injuries to contend with this season and Jonny Otto Castro remains the sole absentee with a knee ligament injury.

1. Rui Patricio (GK)

The Portuguese veteran has been back to his best in the last couple of games and he will need to be at the top of his game once again this weekend.

2. Ryan Bennett (RCB)

The Englishman followed up a strong showing against Chelsea with another impressive display against Newcastle and should be amongst the starters for this one as well.

3. Conor Coady (CB)

The former Liverpool man has done a fantastic job at the heart of the defence this season and has led by example.

4. Willy Boly (LCB)

The Frenchman has been a key figure for Wolves at the back this season and Nuno Santo should continue to rely on him.

5. Ruben Neves (CM)

The youngster put in a good shift in central midfield against Newcastle, cutting out the attacks and dictating the tempo of the game with his passing.

6. Romain Saiss (CM)

He has done a decent job in the last couple of games and has given Nuno Santo a selection headache with Joao Moutinho also in the mix.

7. Matt Doherty (RWB)

The Irishman has been one of the standout performers for Wolves this season, contributing equally to both attack and defence.

8. Ruben Vinagre (LWB)

The Portuguese U19 international has filled in the shoes of Jonny quite well and should continue in that position.

9. Helder Costa (RAM)

The Portuguese international bagged an assist in the last game and has always been a key component of their attack.

10. Diogo Jota (LAM)

He is currently high on confidence after scoring in back-to-back games and Nuno Santo should hand him another start.
