Reverse 1999, the time-travel based RPG. Here, battles are time-based and you have to complete stories to progress. Every story has different goals and tasks. You can unlock crystals, unilog, sharpodonty and clear drop as rewards. These are used to summon new characters and level up their skills. Every character has different abilities and they provide buff and debuff throughout combat.

Apart from skills, you can utilize incantations to launch a magical attack. Reverse 1999 has many characters and you can stun opponents using your talents and skills. Summoning six-star characters is a difficult task as the spin wheel doesn’t guarantee you with a 6-star character always. Yet, there are many five-star and four-star characters to pull. Best Characters to Play in Reverse 1999

Sotheby

Sotheby is a six-star character. She’s a stronger ranged unit and deals poison damage. Sotheby has a decent ATK and her HP is massive. If your troop requires a strong defense, then Sotheby can be your best units. She’s the best Critical technique and you can utilize her ‘Genius Lady’ skill to increase damage. This skill also inflicts a status effect on targets. Also, her three Arcane skills are highly recommended. Here Portray includes these skills,

• Mix Them All Up! – This is a mass attack and you can deal 350% reality damage to enemies and apply status effects on them.
• Triple the Dose! – This deals 80 reality damage and inflicts poison status effects for 2 rounds and deals genesis DMG as well.
• Concentrated Essence! – Use this skill to heal your units for 2 rounds

A Knight 

Knight is a top-tier DPS. This six-star unit has Mercy as its Insight and Inheritance. Knight has good ATK stats and excellent Hp. Utilize Mercy skill to increase your damage after losing hp. The damage taken will also reduce by 8% after entering battle. Here are her 3 Arcane skills,

• After AD 778 – Use this mass attack to deal 400% reality damage. Once you defeat a target, this skill inflicts 1 Stack of Rousing Morale on all allies
• Justice – Use this target attack to increase your reality damage by 180%. Also, you will recover +1 Moxie for self after defeating one target
• Glory – This mass attack will deal 150% reality damage to 2 enemies

Regulus

Regulus, the six-star versatile character is strong in both support and attack. Her mental def is more than reality and her critical technique is great. Regulus’ basic skill is “Listen to New Stuff” and this deals extra critical damage. Her Insight Bonus increases base stats and rides her level cap to 40. The insight also levels up her Inheritance. Here are here 3 Arcane Skills,

• Sleepless Rave – Use this to deal 300 % mental damage. This skill also unleashes Riot and Roll status effects on all allies for a round. The effects will dodge non ultimate attacks
• Treat for the Ears – This deals extra 500% mental DMG
• Challenge for the Eyes – Cast this to deal 150% extra mental DMG to any 2 targets

Sonetto

Sonetto is an all-rounder unit. This five-star unit has the best control along other units. She’s a massive defense unit. Search the Poems, the skill can be used to increase DMG, DEF, Critical Resist and Critical Def.Sonetta has three powerful Arcane skills,

• Unrestricted Chant – Deals 300% Reality damage to all units
• Commandment V – This deals 200% Reality DMG
• Exhortation IX – This is a mass buff and can be used to increase the Penetration rate for 2 rounds

Matilda 

Matilda is one of the best debuff and dps units in Reverse 1999. The five-star character has excellent AtK, HP and Critical Technique. At Insight I, you can unlock the Proud Star which increases critical rate and damage. It also reduces the damage taken. Use these Arcane skills to boost her stats further,

• Instant of Prediction – Deals 500% mental damage and also increases the critical rate by 15%
• Work of Genius – This deals 200% mental damage and inflicts one stack of Confusion to reduce critical resist
• Attention Everyone – This deals 150% mental damage to 2 targets and increases your penetration rate by +30%

Sweetheart

She’s a primary dps and tank. Sweetheart is a five-star unit who attacks faster and harder. Her Insight skill is “A Low Whisper”. This increases critical rate and reduces damage taken. Her key Arcane skills include,

• A Good Dream Tonight – This deals  400% reality damage and also increases your both defense stats by 20% for at least 3 rounds. Also, you can inflict 5hr Daze status effects and this ensures your enemies cannot act.
• Dud – This will deal 200% reality damage
• Slight Breeze – This deals 135% reality damage to 2 enemies

Baby Blue

Baby Blue is a mage. She’s a five-star unit with the best debuff and control. Baby Blue can attack from range and her HP is excellent. You can use her as a support unit.  Her Insight skill “Don’t Touch Her” reduces the amount of mental damage she takes and also increases her critical def. It also boosts her DMG and critical resist rate. Here are here major Arcane skills,

• Tea with Friends – A mass attack can be unleashed. You will be able to deal 250% mental damage and also inflict the nightmare effects 
• Tea Party – This will increase mental damage for your units and reduce mental def for enemies 
• Cough Syrup – This is a mass debuff skill. Damage taken will be reduced.
