Swerving it out

The match between Isaiah Swerve Scott and Johnny Gargano might have been set up after an innocuous brawl, but the match delivered.

Swerve certainly deserves more time on WWE and he showed off his abilities by going up against one of the best in the promotion.

Gargano might have got the win in the end, but Swerve certainly impressed against the former NXT Champion.

Yim vs LeRae

Mia Yim and Candice LeRae put on an incredible clash at the start of the show. This was a brutal street fight which saw both women do a lot of damage to one another.

While LeRae got the win over her bitter rival, Yim has been impressive on both days of the Great American Bash.

The HBIC should fight more in the coming weeks while it will be interesting to see what LeRae plans on doing after getting a big win over her most recent rival.

Hit and run over

Robert Stone is having an awful time in WWE. His attempts to land more clients isn’t working, and he was run over by Shotzi Blackheart’s mini-tank this week.

While Stone was in a lot of pain, many WWE stars laughed out at the hit and run. The former TNA star isn’t doing a lot of wrestling, as he used too. However, he is providing NXT with a comedy angle, something that the promotion needs.

Stone does over sell some of the hits he receives, but that has to be part of his gimmick.

Bask in his glory

Lee vs Cole will go down as one of the best matches in the promotion. WWE giving Lee the win was right given how quickly he has risen on NXT, and this was a wonderful moment for the Limitless One.

Cole has been an incredible champion and should be moving on to a bigger promotion, however, great things are in store for Lee too.

Lee could be made the face of NXT for a while, and it will be interesting to see how WWE deals with their latest NXT star.
