Predicted Wolverhampton Wanderers XI to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League

Wolverhampton Wanderers caused another major upset as the new boys of the Premier League ran riot at Wembley to inflict a 3-1 defeat on Spurs last week.

Nuno Santo’s men currently sit 7th in the standings and they will be looking to continue their good run of form when they play host to Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

Crystal Palace lost 1-0 to Chelsea at home and Roy Hodgson’s men will be keen to get something out of this fixture.

Team News

Nuno Santo doesn’t have too many injuries to contend with for the mid-week clash. Diogo Jota and Adama Traore are struggling with thigh injuries and are doubtful to play a part.

Predicted XI

1. Rui Patricio (GK)

The veteran made some fine stops in the last game and has always been a reliable presence between the sticks.

The Englishman has been in tremendous form this season and has put in some really solid shifts at the heart of the defence.

3. Conor Coady (CB)

The former Liverpool man has established himself as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League this season.

4. Willy Boly (LCB)

The Frenchman put in a solid shift at the back against Spurs and should be amongst the starters for this one as well.

5. Matt Doherty (RWB)

The Irishman has impressed with his solid displays at the back and has linked up very well down the right in the attacking third.

6. Jonny Otto Castro (LWB)

The Spaniard contributed equally to both attack and defence in the last game and Nuno Santo should continue to rely on him.

7. Ruben Neves (CM)

He hasn’t been up to the mark in recent weeks and will be expected to do better in the second half of the season.

8. Romain Saiss (CM)

The Moroccan didn’t make an appearance in the last game but he should get another start after impressing against Fulham.

9. Joao Moutinho (LAM)

Nuno Santo should deploy him in an advanced role to spark that creativity in the final third.
