Rafael Nadal beat Casper Ruud in straight sets at the 2022 Roland Garros final to win his 14th French Open title.
Despite edging closer to the twilight years of his career, Rafael Nadal continues to be a force to reckon with. The Spaniard has now won 22 Grand Slam titles and 14 of them are titles from the French Open. In doing so, Nadal created a larger gap between himself and his two greatest rivals, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, who both have 20 major titles.

The Spaniard dominated Casper Ruud at the 2022 Roland Garros final on Sunday, to win 6-3, 6-3, 6-0 in straight sets. Nadal, widely known as the ‘King of Clay’ showed the world that he still has plenty to offer on the big stage despite being 36 years old. And fans on social media were also quick to congratulate Nadal on his victory at the French Open.

Not many PLAYED 14 @rolandgarros tournaments. He won it 14 times. There is no word to describe this feat. Don't think good old Phillippe would mind if his court changes the name to Rafael Nadal – statue is not enough
