Which neutral site is decided for AFC Championship Game? 2

The National Football League (NFL) made the announcement on Thursday that the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, which is the home of the Atlanta Falcons, has been selected as the neutral location for a potential AFC Championship Game between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs on January 29.

The resolution to potentially amend the AFC postseason was passed by NFL owners on January 6 during a Special League Meeting. One of the potential changes being considered is the prospect of hosting a conference championship game at a neutral venue.

The resolution was recommended on January 5 in conjunction with the cancellation of the Week 17 game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. The game had been postponed by the NFL on January 2 when Bills safety Damar Hamlin experienced a heart attack while playing on the field. Hamlin has been released from a hospital in Buffalo, according to an announcement made by the Bills on Wednesday. Hamlin will now continue his recovery at home as well as with the organization.

During Super Wild Card Weekend, the Buffalo Bills (13-3) will play home to the Miami Dolphins (9-8), while the Kansas City Chiefs (14-3) have clinched the American Football Conference’s top spot and the conference’s lone bye week.

The National Football League (NFL) indicated that additional information for a championship game between Buffalo and Kansas City, such as ticket information, will be published at a later date.
